ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our multi-location hospitality group. This role will manage both an in-house accounting team and an outsourced accounting group, ensuring financial controls, accuracy, and compliance. The Accounting Manager will report to the Director of Finance and play a key role in supporting our rapidly growing portfolio, which currently includes 14+ locations in Los Angeles, with planned expansions in Dallas, Miami, and New York.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical accounting skills, hospitality experience, and a passion for streamlining financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Oversight:
Lead financial planning and risk analysis to support business growth.
Maintain financial integrity by ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations.
Set financial targets and mentor the internal accounting team.
Oversee audits, internal controls, and tax planning.
Collaborate with the Director of Finance on key financial initiatives and reporting.
Operational Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the outsourced accounting team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Oversee inter-company transfers and reconciliations across 10+ legal entities.
Manage weekly inventory postings, monthly financial closes and balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Ensure timely payroll processing and benefits allocation.
Lead corporate credit card reconciliation and vendor payment processes.
Manage sales & use tax audits and payroll tax audits.
Prepare financial reports for ownership, operations, and finance leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2+ years in a management role.
Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or Director is required.
Experience managing outsourced accounting services is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
Experience in multi-unit hospitality, retail, or F&B accounting is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Restaurant 365, Sage) and payroll systems.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
JOB DETAILS AND BENEFITS: Full-time, exempt position with office hours of 9am-6pm, Monday-Thursday, remote Fridays
