Job Title: Agricultural Technician
Location: Seymour, IL (near rural Champaign County)
Compensation: $21/hour
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with extended hours possible depending on weather and harvest needs
Employment Type: Full-time, seasonal with potential extension into early spring

About the Role:
Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Agricultural Technicians to join their soybean breeding field crew. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on agricultural work with a focus on precision, teamwork, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Harvest soybean plots and/or single plants

• Bundle and thresh plants

• Count, clean, and maintain seed inventory

• Maintain accurate data records

• Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe team environment

• Work outdoors through harvest season, then transition to indoor seed processing (mid-November through January)

• Assist with spring planting prep (March – April) if available

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Attention to detail is critical

• Ability to work both independently and in a team

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel) are a plus

• Previous agricultural or manual labor experience preferred but not required
