This is an on-site role for an Art Consultant / Gallery Sales position at Scott Richards Contemporary Art in San Francisco. We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic self-starter to join our team. This individual will play a key role in engaging with clients and developing relationships with collectors, art consultants, and interior designers. The ideal candidate is passionate about contemporary art, possesses strong sales acumen, and thrives in a high-end gallery setting. Qualifications Strong sales and negotiation abilities. 2+ years of experience in art sales, art advisory, and gallery management. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-end or luxury setting. Strong understanding of contemporary art and market dynamics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in art inventory databases such as Art Logic, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Mailchimp. Knowledge of art handling and installation best practices is a plus. B.A. from a four-year college or university (arts-related field preferred).
