The Nurse Technician role involves providing direct patient care and supportive tasks under the guidance of licensed nursing professionals. This position requires performing duties within the defined scope of practice and demonstrating growing knowledge and skills aligned with unit and departmental standards. Essential Responsibilities: Carry out patient care activities as outlined in the skills checklist. Engage in continuous learning through formal and informal methods to enhance clinical competencies. Adhere to organizational mission, vision, and values while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, healthcare team members, external agencies, and the public. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education: Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited Registered Nurse program with at least one full year of clinical nursing completed. Experience: Completion of one full year of clinical nursing experience as part of the nursing program. Licenses and Certifications: Must obtain a current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Skills and Abilities: Basic computer proficiency. Strong multitasking and prioritization capabilities. Effective communication skills. Ability to apply patient care principles. Openness to instruction, feedback, and constructive criticism. Physical Requirements: This role may require occasional heavy lifting up to 100 lbs and frequent exertion up to 20 lbs. Standing or walking may be required for 51-75% of the workday.
