Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Political Science-Public Administration

Location: University of Oklahoma, Norman Campus

Department: Political Science

Position Type: Faculty

Qualifications:

Required:

• Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Administration, Public policy, or a related field at the time the position begins in August 2026.
• Research agenda characterized by scholarly excellence and the potential for real-world impact
• Ability to teach the core budgeting and finance course in the Department's MPA program

Preferred (not required):

• Strong potential (at the tenure-track level) or a clear record (at the tenured level) of securing external funding
• Ability to teach core PhD courses in the public administration or public policy subfields
• Ability to teach required courses in the public administration or public policy subfields at the undergraduate level
• Commitment to mentoring graduate students
• Experience with multidisciplinary research teams
