Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Operate the tunnel oven during daily bread production
• Use the digital control panel to manage oven settings for multiple different bread types (temperature, belt speed, steam injection, bake time)
• Monitor baking quality and adjust parameters as needed
· Ensure the bread entering and exiting the oven maintains consistent, high quality.
• Coordinate with the mixing, cutting, and steam box teams to ensure smooth baking flow
• Perform basic oven maintenance and cleaning
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Inspect products during and after baking to ensure quality, color, texture, and other specifications are met.
Additional Responsibilities:
Product Packaging : May assist in packaging of baked goods for sale or shipping.
Communication : Communication with other bakery staff to coordinate production activities and ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements:
• Experience with commercial ovens ; tunnel oven experience is a strong plus
• Ability to use computerized control systems for baking equipment
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and timing
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long hours and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
• Food safety knowledge
• Experience baking bread professionally
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
