Johnson County Community CollegePosition, Department: Bookstore Clerk, Operations
Type of Position: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs, 12 hours per week
Pay Range: $15.00-$16.43 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.
Benefits Category: Partial benefits
Position Summary: Support all aspects of the Bookstore operations, provide sales support, operate a cash register, stock merchandise, coordinate with the warehouse team, and serve as a customer service liaison.
Required Qualifications:
- Entry-level support role.
- Performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
- Requires a High School Diploma and little to no related experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist customers with purchases.
- Perform cashiering duties with returns, exchanges, inner account transfers, and technology purchases.
- Stock shelves and ensure the sales floor remains organized.
- Pick and pack web orders accurately using the inventory management system.
- Assist textbook and merchandise receivers with checking in course materials or merchandise.
- Tag textbooks and merchandise and get them ready to be stocked on the sales floor.
- Perform operational duties at buyback and rental check-in at the end of each semester.

Scheduling, shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
