About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead its information security and privacy team. The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with the business goals. This includes integrating security measures into all aspects of the organization, leading security architecture and engineering, vulnerability management, security operations, compliance, and risk management. The successful candidate will also be accountable for identifying and assessing IT security-related issues, overseeing IT security architecture, and ensuring consistent compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. As a key member of the leadership team, the CISO will champion IT security, raise awareness across the organization, and work closely with enterprise risk management and asset protection teams. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field, with an advanced degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 15 years' information security leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing security strategies, particularly in a retail environment, and possess strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and regulations. Essential skills include excellent communication, the ability to influence at all levels, and experience in leading high-performing security engineering and operations teams. The CISO should also have a deep understanding of information security and privacy in digital-forward, customer-centric organizations, and a strong background in risk assessment and management.
