Robert Half is looking for a meticulous Cost Accountant to join our client in NE Iowa. In this role, you will focus on analyzing, managing, and improving cost-related processes within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate cost reporting and efficient financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed cost analyses to evaluate production expenses and identify areas for cost savings.
• Develop and maintain standard cost systems to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and provide insights to support decision-making and operational improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing cost trends and projections for management review.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline cost accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, providing actionable recommendations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by delivering precise cost-related data.
• Train and guide team members on cost accounting principles and best practices.
