Job Description
Our client in Warrendale, PA is looking for a Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships while driving sales growth through proactive customer engagement and expert product knowledge. It is fully onsite and a contract to hire, depending on experience, pay ranges from $22-$24. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM & Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Background check and clearances required.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone and email, providing detailed product information, quotes, and order processing while maintaining our high standard of customer service excellence
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying new sales opportunities within assigned accounts
* Work closely with customers and our outside sale team to understand their safety equipment needs and recommend appropriate solutions from our product line
* Process orders accurately and efficiently while monitoring order status through delivery
* Collaborate with our warehouse team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any shipping or delivery issues
* Partner with outside sales representatives to support customer needs, coordinate site visits, and ensure seamless customer service between field and inside sales teams
* Support outside sales team by providing product information, pricing updates, and inventory availability
* Maintain detailed customer records and update account information in our CRM system
* Stay current on industry safety regulations, product specifications, and new safety equipment innovations
* Assist in inventory management and product restocking recommendations
Desired Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) preferred
* 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, preferably in industrial supply or equivalent experience
* Experience with SAP Business One or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new ERP systems
* Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
* Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships
* Basic knowledge of industrial safety equipment and PPE (training will be provided)
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in safety equipment sales or distribution
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements
* Advanced proficiency in SAP Business One
* Experience with major distribution or inventory management systems
* Background in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
* Experience coordinating with field sales teams
