Description We are looking for an experienced Customs Broker to oversee the import/export process, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating smooth shipment clearances. This role involves managing customs entries, coordinating logistics, and resolving shipment issues efficiently. Based in El Segundo, California, this is a Contract position offering an opportunity to grow within the logistics and brokerage industry. Responsibilities: - Prepare and process customs entries while ensuring strict compliance with import/export regulations. - Coordinate dispatch and delivery orders to facilitate timely and efficient shipment handling. - Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates and resolving any delays or issues. - Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and government agencies to streamline customs clearance processes. - Oversee the end-to-end brokerage process, from documentation to final delivery. - Proactively identify potential issues in shipment or clearance and implement solutions promptly. - Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and company standards. - Leverage business systems, such as CargoWise and ERP solutions, to enhance operational efficiency. - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly. - Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to improve logistics workflows. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in customs brokerage, including processing entries and managing shipments. - In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures. - Proficiency in business systems such as CargoWise, ERP solutions, and CRM platforms. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. - Familiarity with global logistics and dispatching processes. - Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining compliance standards.
