Design Engineer / Draftsperson

Department: Engineering

We’re looking for a skilled Design Engineer/Draftsperson to join our Engineering team. In this role, you’ll review and analyze contract documents to create engineering drawings that support customer approval and manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical knowledge and attention to detail.

What you’ll do:

• Review proposals, purchase orders, and specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings and Bills of Materials for manufacturing and customer approval.
• Perform calculations to determine equipment sizes, deflections, and drive information.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Production teams to resolve technical questions and clarify requirements.
• Occasionally review drawings prepared by others or assist on special projects as needed.

What we’re looking for:

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of Algebra, Trigonometry, and Solid Geometry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Proficiency with computer systems, CAD, and manual calculations.
• Strong communication skills to discuss technical questions with engineers.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of producing clear, concise, and complete documentation.
