Akkodis is recruiting for an HSE Specialist for an aerospace manufacturer in the Carson, CA area. This is an onsite contract postition with with a pay rate of $25/hour-$35/hour, depending on experience, education and location.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Description

• HSE Legal Framework applicable to the site.
• Company standards and their requirements.
• Identification, Evaluation and Control of risks and impacts (Analysis tools)
• Knowledge of Chemical Substances, Explosive Atmospheres, Asbestos, Confined Spaces, Ergonomics, Hazardous Work.
• Event investigation methods (5W's+H, 8D's, Root cause).
• Technical specifications of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment and devices, machinery and operational equipment.
• Integrated Management Systems ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO 50001, ISO 19110, ISO 9001, Responsible Sourcing
• Industrial hygiene
• Environmental control
• Emergency management (including chemical emergencies)
• Identification, Evaluation and Control of risks and impacts (Analysis tools)

• Bachelors Degree in related field
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing enviornment.
