Role Description

This is a contract role for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist. The role is located on-site in Des Plaines, IL and other Chicago area locations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting health and safety audits, performing risk assessments, implementing workplace safety measures, and providing safety training. The Environmental Health Safety Specialist will support the EHS Manager in the implementation of relevant environmental, health and safety standards.

Qualifications

- Bilingual - Spanish required

Some experience

• in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
• Some manufacturing industry experience
• Experience with tools and machinery a plus
• Comfortable developing and delivering safety training

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and on-site in Des Plaines, IL and other Chicago area locations
• Adaptable to changing priorities
• Willing to be coached and receive constructive feedback
• Fluent with MS Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Zoom
• Must have own laptop and transportation
• Willing to work on a contract basis. Full-time employment after 3 months possible
