Leidos is seeking an Event Planner to be responsible for planning, organizing, executing events (social events, internal/external meetings, internal/external events. Duties may include ensuring that all events run within scope, time, and meet customer requirements. The Event Planner will work independently and with support staff in a fast-paced and diverse environment to drive positive operational outcomes and customer service delivery. The role will support the customer in planning and coordinating events to ensure that customer obtains the needed event materials, equipment, and anything else that is needed ensure high customer satisfaction of event outcomes.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive scheduling and presentation to customer of events planned
  • Coordinate with customer and various vendors to ensure event setup, delivery, and post event activities
  • Provide regular reports and surveys, demonstrating litigation and deposition completion and user satisfaction
  • Communicates and documents accomplished checklists and event readiness reports just prior to planned events
  • Travel to support offsite FTC Events (local), conduct site visits when necessary and provide feedback to the planning team of the pros and cons of potential event sites.
  • Works independently with customer to obtain information on desired event outcomes and leads to planning and delivery of all events activity that encompasses small and large-scale events.
  • Work with FTC staff to determine Event needs. Participate in conference calls and/or face-to-face meetings as required. Resulting in clearly communicated task and milestones for those involved.
  • Provide assistance with setting up and starting virtual meetings using applications such as Teams, Zoom, etc.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 1+ years of prior customer service experience
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or similar field and experience with event planning preferred
  • Must be organized and have strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Event planning experience for Federal Government customers is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance

Pay Range:

Pay Range $28,600.00 - $51,700.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
