Responsibilities
- Develop and execute computational chemistry strategies integrating AI/ML techniques
- Lead the application of molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and free energy calculations for ligand optimization.
- Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and ML researchers to enhance drug discovery efforts.
- Develop novel computational methods and stay updated on emerging techniques.
- Communicate findings and strategies to leadership and external stakeholders.
- Build and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Biophysics, or related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in computational chemistry within biotech or pharma.
- Proven leadership experience in mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
- Expertise in molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and free energy methods.
- Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency
- Experience applying ML techniques to molecular modeling challenges.
