The Sony Semiconductor Solutions America (SSS-A) Business Unit at Sony Electronics is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales & Marketing professional to join our growing team in San Jose, California. This individual will work closely with top-tier consumer electronics companies—primarily based on the West Coast—to promote and drive adoption of Sony’s next-generation image sensor technologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage strategic relationships with key customers and ecosystem partners (e.g., ISPs, SoCs, lens and camera module vendors). Identify and support design-in opportunities for Sony’s image sensor products across a range of consumer applications. Promote and drive adoption of future-generation image sensor technologies. Monitor and analyze consumer electronics market trends to inform business strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including counterparts in Japan, to influence product roadmaps and strategic planning. Define go-to-market strategies including product positioning and pricing. Represent Sony at industry events and conferences; present whitepapers and gather market intelligence. Negotiate complex business terms and conditions, including legal and liability clauses, to close purchase agreements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements In-depth knowledge of image sensor technologies and their integration into electronic systems. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the semiconductor or consumer electronics industry. Established relationships with major consumer electronics OEMs and related ecosystem vendors. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—across all organizational levels. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally. Prior experience working for or with a Japanese-based organization. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is $126,258.00 to $168,344.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, a sign on payment, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
