Job Description
Our firm is looking for an experienced Front Office Assistant to join Our Team!
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
Review, proofread, and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable legal standards.
Organize and maintain case files and records, ensuring timely updates and easy accessibility.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and opening new cases.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status and answering general inquiries.
Conduct intake interviews with potential new clients and collect relevant documentation for attorney review.
Request and follow up on medical records and billing statements as needed.
Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for case preparation.
Support attorneys and staff with general administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
File and serve pleadings and other legal documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines.
** Litigation experience is a plus! **
You must possess the following qualifications :
· Must be pleasant, kind and compassionate.
· Be able to prioritize and have good follow-up skills.
· Strong communication skills and customer service skills.
· Be a team player.
· Attention to detail.
· Punctual.
** Bilingual in Spanish is a plus! **
Computer Skills :
You must have at least the basic knowledge to use the following:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro, and DocuSign.
***** This position is full-time Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Hourly rate will depend on experience, plus retirement benefits, sick pay, and bonuses.
