General Summary:
This individual is tasked with assisting the Garden Center in the care of all varieties of plants; organization, pricing, and stocking of the Garden Center; and ensuring our customers are helped in a friendly, timely manner!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Watering different varieties of plants appropriately and daily, if needed.
* Cleaning, raking, weeding as needed to keep the Garden tidy and shoppable.
* Unload shipments of live goods and check the accuracy of the shipment.
* Price & create displays for merchandise.
* Greet customers entering and throughout the Garden and store. Thank customers by name, when possible, when they are leaving the Garden and store.
* Assist customers in finding plants and types of plants in the Garden. Carrying plants, bags of soil or amendments, decor to checkout.
* Communicate any problem or issue that requires management assistance to the Garden Lead.
* Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
Other Essential Requirements:
Physical Demands:
Standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting (up to 50lbs)
Ability to work safely in the summer heat by hydrating, wearing hats, etc.
