*General Manager/Business Development -Commercial Construction, Butler Steel Buildings*
We are looking for a General Manager to manage operations and help further develop and execute business development strategies to grow our Glencoe, MN market.
**OVERALL RESPONSIBILTIES:**
* Responsible for financial management of projects, recognizing business opportunities and putting together bids to win new business as well as negotiating and agreeing contracts.
* Works to build and strengthen new relationships in the market; understands current relationships and maximizing opportunities with existing clients.
* Continuously works to strategically expand, preserve, or improve procedures, standards or policies whilst sticking to regulatory guidelines.
* Develops, implements, and executes a strategic business plan including achievement of assigned metrics such as those related to financial forecasts and client satisfaction.
* Actively involved with local business organizations and community service organizations as a means to promote a positive public image of the company and nurture business relationships.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry.
* Coordinates with other locations and senior business leaders to identify and discuss common issues.
* Overall responsibility for construction job costs and ensuring customer satisfaction and team commitment to company values and quality.
* Coach, encourage, motivate, and teach others within the organization, and utilize employee recognition and motivation techniques as best suites individual employees.
**DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:**
* Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of demonstrated, relatable experience.
* Four (4) year construction management, marketing, engineering finance or related degree preferred.
* Commercial Steel /Butler Building Experience strongly preferred.
* Timberline/Sage 300 Estimating and Procore software experience a plus
* PEMB (pre-engineered metal buildings) and/or Agricultural Construction experience a plus
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Strong sales, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Knowledge of construction projects and processes
* Strong business development skills and experience in account management
