Pay: $50–$55/hour | Full-Time | Field-Based Role in Northern Alberta

Are you a licensed Journeyman with mechanical or electrical expertise? Rockstar Mechanics is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform service, diagnostics, and overhauls on large industrial gas generators (350 kW to 4.5 MW) that run on natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, and more.
This is an exciting opportunity for licensed technicians who want to work on complex power generation equipment in a field-based role with room to grow.

Truck and Coach Technicians
Heavy Equipment Technicians
Millwrights
Key Responsibilities:
Field-based service on gas generators, including commissioning, maintenance, and major overhauls.
Perform oil changes, filter replacements, valve checks, and system inspections.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
Work with control systems and perform system-level troubleshooting.
Complete service reports, timesheets, and safety documentation promptly.
Collaborate with the Service Manager on job scopes and repair plans.
Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and service.
Participate in internal technical training and be available for an on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of field service experience.
Valid Journeyman Certificate in a mechanical trade.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Northern Alberta.
Knowledge of gas generator systems and controls is preferred.
Experience with high-voltage systems, automation, or PLCs is a strong asset.
Proficient with computers and reporting systems; SAP experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
Clean driver’s abstract and ability to pass pre-employment health screening, including drug and alcohol testing.
