Growing And Learning Academy Llc in Kearny, NJ is looking for one group teacher to join our 7 person strong team. We are located on 21 Davis Ave 21 Davis Ave. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged.
Responsibilities
The Group Teacher will execute the following duties:
• Supervise the Assistant Teacher, Teacher’s Aide & children in their classroom
• Assign to the other teachers in their class, and help with, classroom duties
• Keep the classroom clean
• Help to serve the children their meals
• Communicate with parents about their children
• Take part in professional development and staff meetings
• As well as other duties as assigned
The Group Teacher:
Have a CDA or an Associates Degree ( or willing to go for their CDA)
• Can also be on an approved Study Plan, which has to be completed within 7 years
• Has to complete the NJ Mandated Reporter 2-Hour training course
• Will complete 15 hours of training every 2 years
• Must clear both a Department of Health & Department of Education background check
• Possesses experience working with young children
• Has to provide 3 business references
• Will complete Pediatric CPR/First Aid course
