Your New Role

We are seeking a versatile and experienced IT manager to join our team. As an experienced IT manager, you will maintain Windows laptop/desktop computers, printers, equipment and software for company operations of 60+ users and ensure company assets are tracked and maintained responsibly. You interact with employees to help resolve information technology (IT) related issues and provide answers in a timely manner to minimize downtime. In addition, you serve as the company’s liaison with an outsourced managed service provider (MSP). This role is crucial to our team's success and requires the ability to work on-site at our Minneapolis office.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Provide status updates and reports to the director of technology on aspects of the company’s information technology.
  • Install and configure all software.
  • Oversee troubleshooting for all software, hardware, and teleconferencing technology as required.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships and manage the purchase of hardware, software and other IT supplies.
  • Assist in the administration, planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the company’s infrastructure.
  • Work with MSP to implement and maintain network security and general operation.
  • Set up and configure computers for new employees, ensuring they are fully operational and meet company standards.
  • Support the development of in-house and vendor-led technology-related training sessions.
  • Document all IT related processes and make improvements when possible.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and software updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist the Director of Technology in the development of data and AI related projects and processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology-related trends and best practices.
  • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be required to ensure client project delivery and company operations.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or computer science is required. Candidates with an associate’s degree, technical or high school degree with equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in IT.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong interest in data science, analytics, or general business applications is a plus.
  • Strong interest in AI is a plus.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or CompTIA A+ are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Unanet CRM by Cosential and Deltek Ajera software is a plus.
  • Committed to maintain skill levels with the changing technology environment.
  • Understands professional and ethical responsibilities with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule; may be requested to work evenings or weekends on occasion.
  • Positive and professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients in person or virtually.
  • Candidate shall demonstrate proper documentation to lawfully work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
