An established 288-bed tertiary care, teaching hospital hospital in northeastern Pennsylvania has an opening for a Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage. Level II trauma center.

- Cardiac Rehabilitation
- Electrophysiology and Pacing Heart Surgery
- Heart Valve Clinic
- Interventional Cardiology
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
- Thoracic Surgery
- Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
- Vascular Screening
- Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
- WATCHMAN for AFib
- Artificial heart ventricular assist device implantation
- Ascending aortic surgery for aneurysms
- Complex mitral valve repair
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Endothoracic aortic stent grafting for descending thoracic aortic aneurysms
- Heart valve replacements including aortic and mitral valve. Guthrie Heart Valve Clinic
- Minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve surgery
- Surgical Anterior Ventricular Restoration (SAVR) for congestive heart failure
About the Opportunity: - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5:45p with offsite call
- OR phone call every other day, weekend 24-hour call shifts
- Required skills: First assist cardiac & thoracic cases, Endoscopic vein harvesting, pre and post op management
- Team of 1 other surgical PA, 2 nonsurgical PA, 2 cardiac surgeons, and 1 thoracic surgeon
- Must be board-certified
- Paid travel & expenses
