Job Title: Mainframe Tester

Job Location: PIttsburgh PA (Onsite)

Job Description

Test Planning: Creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure coverage of business requirements and technical specifications.

Test Execution: Executing tests on Mainframe applications, including batch and online testing, to identify defects and ensure compliance with requirements.

Defect Management: Identifying, reporting, and tracking defects, including collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.

Test Data Management: Creating and managing test data to support testing, including data validation and data masking.

Test Environment Management: Setting up and maintaining test environments, including Mainframe configurations and dependencies.

Minimum of 5 yrs of experience on Mainframe Testing.

Knowledge in COBOL, ISPF, JCL, VSAM.

Tools preferred are INSYNC, CONTROL-M & ENDEAVOR.

Willing to work as an individual contributor

Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing

Ready to interact with customers and internal stakeholders to obtain complete and thorough understanding of the requirements.

Ready to define functional test cases based on the technical design/functional design in a way that is comprehensive and verifies accuracy of developed features.

Lead the remediation of defects and test closure report.

Provide input toward code propagation and readiness for higher environments.

Domain Banking Domain Knowledge (CORE Banking, LOC).
