Description of the role:
As a Maintenance Technician at St. Ives Hometown Living of Johns Creek, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our senior living community. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a unique blend of technical skill and warmth. They are patient, understanding, and genuinely enjoy interacting with seniors, particularly those with cognitive challenges. You will desire to create a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the community
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies

Requirements:
- Previous experience in maintenance
- General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical college experience a plus
- Compassionate and patient demeanor for working with residents who have dementia
