As a Medical Transcription Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely medical documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Transcribing physician dictations of medical office visits and managing incoming correspondence.
• Operating word processing, dictation, and transcription equipment efficiently.
• Receiving, filing, and storing materials as required to maintain organization.
• Handling incoming lab orders and requisitions, entering relevant clinical data into appropriate software applications.
• Reviewing and editing transcribed reports for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology.
• Identifying inaccuracies in reports and verifying with physicians to ensure correct information is documented.
• Prioritizing dictated reports based on the continuity of care needs to optimize patient outcomes.
