Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Work Environment & Location:

•  Location: 3 days a week onsite, 2 days a week remote. Can either work in Springdale, OH office or downtown Cincinnati, OH.
• Duration: 3 month contract with potential for hire
• Travel: Minimal/none

Job Summary:

• Network Security Engineers provide technical and project management leadership for the planning, design, and implementation of information system security solutions, procedures, and policies that help achieve our information security goals and objectives.
• Emphasis will be placed on the design, operation, and management of network intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security solutions, and security monitoring systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Implement Virtual FTD in Azure environment
• Fix and clean up secure environment to ensure all traffic adheres to rule sets with proper categorization and functionality.
• Internet firewalls: DMZ segment route/switch, addressing issues due to routers blocking traffic before reaching firewalls; needing cleanup of rules.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• The main requirement is extensive exposure working with Cisco Firewalls (FTDs). Someone who has experience deploying them virtually in Azure is preferred
• Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) policies to flag specific network traffic patterns, create alerts and better control your network.
• FMC Firepower Management Coherent Network
• NGFW - Next Generation Firewall
•  AMP - Advanced Malware Protection
