As our Nutrition Assistant I, you will interact daily with patients, families, visitors, and staff. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about. Every day, you will provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will follow the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. You will collaborate with the facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for participating and supporting all aspects of healthcare food service operations. Works with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrates excellent customer service to patients guests and staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ensures all food handling areas are sanitized and disinfected for the safety of employees, patients, and guests. Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production. Accurately portions meals and beverages including attention to detail concerning dietary restrictions, while ensuring an aesthetically pleasing presentation. Supports team members in all areas of food services including cashier, stocking, cleaning, tray service, dishwashing, food storage, etc. Performs related duties as required. Qualifications: Education/Work Experience Requirements High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Food Handlers Permit is required CommonSpirit Health
