Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year
Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays

Job Summary
The Operations Manager, reporting to the District Manager, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the depot, including managing all drivers, dispatchers, and support staff. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and effective service delivery while fostering a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct all depot staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Manage daily operations, including routing, logistics, and dispatch.
• Monitor and control labor and operating expenditures.
• Foster employee engagement and drive a positive work culture.
• Enforce safety and accident prevention programs.
• Maintain municipal contracts and build strong relationships with local government officials.
• Develop and implement training programs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and industry safety standards.
• Support maintenance to ensure equipment compliance.
• Collaborate across departments for special projects and community events.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation or solid waste management preferred.
• Experience managing teams and developing employee engagement strategies.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems, AMCS, ENCORE, Intelex, and MS Office.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and safety regulations.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
