Outside Golf Operations Director
Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois is looking for an Outside Golf Operations Director.
Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage the outside staging area and podium for starting purposes.
• Manage the Practice Facilities (including Short Game Area) to ensure cleanliness, and sufficient inventory of golf balls and supplies.
• Manage storage, cleanliness and organization of the Bag Room.
• Manage the fleet of 50 golf carts to the needs of the membership, coaching staff in areas of detail and cleaning of all carts.
• Manage the daily play sheets, providing accurate data for end of day billing and reconciliation.
• Manage and maintain adequate inventory of all operational supplies needed for excellent service to all members and guests.
• Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with all Club employees, managers, and members.
• Assist Professional Staff in hiring, training and scheduling all outside services support staff (8-12 staffers), monitoring performance and managing services.
• Provide leadership as a key welcoming member of our team as members and guests arrive at the Club, working seamlessly with Locker House Staff.
• Recruit and organize independent contractor caddies to provide the best possible golf experience for all members and guests.
• Utilize ClubUp software to schedule, organize and communicate with all caddies for daily play assignments, and event and outing planning.
• Assist Professional Staff with an orderly flow of play, organizing the daily play sheet and monitoring pace on the golf course.
• When possible, assist members in finding games and joining groups to encourage meeting new members.
• Work closely with Professional Staff to develop tournament operations and excellent services for all events and daily play.
Requirements:
Previous proven experience working in the golf industry and service culture.
Enthusiastic social skills, personality, and an engaging team member.
Organizational skillset to balance work and responsibilities.
Ability to lift heavy golf bags, as well as some lifting tasks at Practice Facilities.
Experience with software and play sheet management and reconciliation.
Compensation:
$65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
