As a Packaging Engineer Intern, you will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and implementing sustainable packaging solutions for our Coated Abrasive products. You will be responsible for evaluating current packaging systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and minimize environmental impact. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, procurement, product management and marketing to deliver packaging solutions that support Saint-Gobain’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and modifying product data sheets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Transferring data from multiple outputs, including spreadsheets, databases, and documents, into centralized systems.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes within the abrasives market.
  • Analyzing engineering data to support product development and optimization efforts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for various projects and initiatives.
  • Working independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to organize data, create reports, and deliver presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Packaging, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Preferred experience with Specright.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and manipulation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Prior experience with data management or market analysis is a plus.
  • Passion for learning and contributing to packaging excellence.

This internship position is for a fixed term, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
