Photographer

General Description of Duties:

• Produces high quality product photography and video content to represent product online and in various advertising mediums.
• Fulfills various photo/video needs including but not limited to internal communication requests, product launches, and training.
• Operates and maintains a wide range of camera equipment
• Regularly employs the use of diverse techniques and specialized photographic techniques in capturing difficult material such as very large/small objects, remote or unusually placed objects, shining surfaces, etc.
• Plans the composition of the photograph, analyzing the content and selecting the angle, lighting, and background to enhance desired features or eliminate unwanted features to produce the most aesthetically effective and informative photograph.
• Modifies standard or develops new techniques and procedures to meet general and/or unusual end-result requirements such as attaining color balance, montage, etc.
• Experience shooting video such as b-roll and interviews utilizing various audio and lighting equipment.
• Organizes and schedules photo and video shoot locations, scripts, talent, etc.
• Will work in tandem with other on staff videographer.
• Performs related job duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of all photographic principles, including a thorough knowledge of one or more forms of specialized photography.
• Previous experience as a photographer or videographer is preferred.

Requirements:

• Proficient using professional editing software (Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Audition, etc. or equivalent).
• Strong capabilities with DSLR camera equipment, studio lighting (commercial/product lighting and video lighting), basic audio equipment.
• Strong project management skills and adhering to deadlines
• Positive working attitude

Work Requirements:

Will require some travel between Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus.
