Job Title:- Production Supervisor / Shift Supervisor
Duration:- 12 months position (May go Longer)
Location:- Louisville, Kentucky, USA
Work Hours:- 2nd Shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Job Responsibility:-
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Directs and coordinates activities on shift in order to meet production goals.
- Oversees all items associated with the quality system (i.e. polar charts, SPC, conformance to prints, etc.).
- Recommends and implements continuous improvements to the production process.
- Assists in customer problem response and resolution.
- Maintains acceptable customer quality standards; maintains the quality of production and takes necessary corrective action to improve.
- Reports, monitors and addresses employee work performance.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards for safety, housekeeping and general maintenance.
- Monitors employee attendance and maintains time off calendars; reviews and approves employee time sheets; initiates employee status transactions in E-time as needed.
- Conducts employee performance appraisals.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Computer proficiency in a Windows-based environment utilizing Microsoft Office. ? Time and process management ? Process improvement ? Strong focus on improving efficiencies.

- Prior experience supervising in a union environment.
- Experience working with a diverse workforce.
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must have the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

- Ability to make periodic presentations, give clear instructions, etc.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Kanban
- Must be able to lead projects.
