We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with a strong background in the mining industry. This role will provide you with the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
As a Production Supervisor, your primary duties will include:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operation workers in processing materials or manufacturing products.
2. Ensuring that all processes run reliably and efficiently, meeting business targets and objectives.
3. Implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency.
4. Planning and organizing production schedules, assessing project and resource requirements.
5. Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met at all times.
6. Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programs.
7. Liaising with different departments, e.g., suppliers, managers, to ensure smooth operations.
8. Overseeing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
9. Identifying training needs and ensuring proper training is provided to the workforce.
10. Preparing and presenting performance reports to the senior management team.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Production Supervisor, candidates should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
2. Proven experience in process improvement, with a track record of implementing successful improvement initiatives.
3. A strong understanding of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and production-related software.
8. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards in a manufacturing environment.
9. A degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
