Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80903 Job Summary: Goodwill Staffing is a full-service staffing agency within Goodwill of Colorado. Goodwill Staffing offers temporary-to-hire and temporary day labor positions in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Goodwill Staffing works with a variety of clients offering a variety of job opportunities. The person in this role will coordinate with Hope Program staff and Shelter staff to encourage and promote a safe and supportively accountable environment in Hope Program Housing that promotes the campus philosophy and smooth operation of the Hope Program on the Shelter campus. The role involves creating supportive and accountable relationships that model Christlikeness in patience, kindness, and hospitality with clients of the Shelter. You will work with staff and clients to facilitate Hope Program policies and procedures and uphold campus regulations, guidelines, and core values, and collect and track client data. Essential Functions Collaborate with Hope Program Staff to establish and implement Hope Program policies and procedures that advance safety and security; maintain ongoing communication. Provide support, encouragement, and accountability for clients in line with Hope Program policies, procedures, and client core values. Build relationships with clients to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and provide support by praying with/for clients as needed or requested. Monitor and ensure clients are accounted for according to the regular program service schedule. Comply with information technology training and data privacy requirements; collect, utilize, and input client data into current data tracking systems accurately. Uphold Hope Program policies and procedures through case management directives; collect samples for urinalysis and administer breathalyzer as required. Submit daily Program Housing Coordinator reports documenting activities, incidents, and self-evals in a timely manner. Contact Supervisor for incidents involving client dismissal or unresolved altercations. Provide access to medication and monitor in accordance with Addiction Recovery Service policies and procedures. Respond to and diffuse situations; handle disputes and altercations appropriately. Perform random and routine checks of client dorms and belongings when entering, during program participation, and at exit. Maintain orderliness and oversee daily chore schedule to maintain cleanliness and safety of Hope Program Housing. Respond to emergencies such as fire, water damage, or accidents; complete incident reports as needed. Collaborate with CLIENT Security Team to address security systems, alarms, fire panels, and smoke detectors. Maintain order and oversee daily schedule to keep work areas clean and safe; place maintenance or IT work orders as needed. Conduct incremental rounds for fire and security purposes. Maintain and understand building evacuation plans; coordinate with other CLIENT departments as necessary. Attend required meetings and review CLIENT emails regularly. Operate CLIENT vehicle for client transportation to appointments, church, and recovery meetings as needed. Occasionally drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission using CLIENT company vehicle or personal vehicle; valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years are required. MVR monitoring may be used to verify eligibility. Assist and support volunteers in their service. Experience: Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness; Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless; upholds CLIENT’s Statement of Faith. Desire to serve in ministry to the lost, hungry, cold, and frightened; show compassion and discernment while modeling Christlikeness. Ability to handle crisis and unexpected situations with calm and clear thinking; good analysis and judgment. Trustworthy, reliable, insightful, and perceptive; maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of addiction and recovery preferred. Able and willing to uphold leadership and mission of CLIENT. Thorough, systematic, and organized with regard to security and protocol. Street knowledge and understanding of anger management highly desired. Computer literate, able to use basic office equipment. CPR/First Aid experience or current certification preferred. Able to read, write, and perform basic mathematical computations. Two years of sobriety required, if in recovery. Flexibility in working hours, including on-call availability and willingness to work holidays.
