We are seeking a traveling
Project Manager to join our team in
San Antonio, TX . In this role, you will manage the buried service wire projects, overseeing the entire scope of each project, working with contractors, clients and managing costs and timelines.

The Role - Develop project scopes, objectives, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders
- Coordinate with contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee all tasks across various systems within the assigned region, including but not limited to Penguin Data, VX Field, and Google Sheets
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Prepare and manage project timelines, ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and deadlines
- Lead a team of direct reports. Invest in the growth of this team through mentoring, training, and performance management
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers
- Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and best practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns promptly & effectively
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, budgets, and timelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management or construction management experience, specifically in telecommunications fiber construction, and relevant administrative skills required
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to manage starting up and overseeing projects
- Proven experience managing buried service wire or similar infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with utility and telecommunications industry standards
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Functional knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk assessment
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Knowledge of underground utility installation processes and equipment
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and decision-making abilities
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
