Summary

Under the direction of the Recovery Support Program Manager, Recovery Coaches provide support to individuals receiving treatment or in recovery, and their families, by providing hope encouragement, and support. Support is provided through the Two-Generation approach to families with children with primary focus to strengthen protective factors and build adult capacities to impact child wellbeing and development. Recovery Coaches promote knowledge of available service options and choices and the utilization of resources within the community. 

Current Initiatives:
  • Initiate Collegiate Recovery programming in Concord by creating and fostering supportive relationships with local colleges/universities in order to support both those with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) as well as allies of those in recovery.
  • Outreach to area businesses and organizations to promote the Archways Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) initiative.

Duties

Essential Job Functions:

  • Help individuals navigate recovery support systems and assist families access resources including health and wellness, housing, employment, and other professionals and non-professional services.
  • Assists individuals in identifying local peer support meetings as needed.
  • Assists individuals in developing a customized recovery plan.
  • Assist individuals with applying for insurance, DHHS benefits and establishing a primary care provider.
  • Assist in accessing transportation assistance to and from support services.
  • Assist individuals in feeling connected to a community through pro-social, recreational, and cultural activities.
  • Demonstrate and model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
  • Provide individuals with ongoing education regarding substance use, mental health, and wellness information.
  • Educate and support individuals in implementing a range of relapse prevention and harm-reduction strategies as needed.
  • Works closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure individual and family needs are met.
  • Collect data as required for the purposes of requirements of private, state and federal funding grants and sources.
  • Support the organizational requirements of accreditation and licensing requirements as it relates to policies, procedures, and trainings.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation as required for billing of services and the proficient use of the existing data platforms.
  • Stays current in maintaining updated information and resources as they relate to recovery coaching and family support.
  • Provides group facilitation and participates in community events.
  • Access translation services as needed.
  • Actively participate in supervision.
  • Actively pursue CRSW, if required.
  • Other assigned duties. 

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • Experience in working with individuals and families in the community.
  • Valid NH driver?s license and proper registration and insurance.
  • Approved criminal background check and DMV record check prior to official hire.
  • Successfully obtain CRSW licensure within six months of date of hire.

  • Ability to consider and incorporate diverse perspectives, while brokering positive relationships.
  • Ability to implement, track, follow through, and stay organized with any required documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously within established framework.

  • Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Completion of a basic Motivational interviewing curriculum.
