Job Description

Store hours : Monday - Friday 7am - 7pm; Saturday/Sunday 9am - 5pm (shift will be within these hours) Location: This position will be 50% Remote and 50% onsite floating between all 8 Mizzou Pharmacy locations in Columbia, MO. Department: Pharmacy Compensation: • Base Pay Range: o $14.80 - $23.32/hour, based on experience o CERTIFIED $16.68 - $26.31/hour, based on experience • Shift Differentials: o Additional $1.25 per hour for Evening shift o Additional $1.50 per hour for Weekend shift • Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. ABOUT THE JOB

Join our dynamic Mizzou Pharmacy team as a full-time pharmacy technician, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community! This hybrid role offers a combination of work-from-home flexibility and hands-on experience in the retail pharmacy settings. All our Mizzou Pharmacy locations are either within a MU Health Care facility or clinic where we partner with other healthcare professionals to improve the lives of our patients. In this hybrid position you will split your responsibilities equally between administrative work (50%) and traditional pharmacy technician duties (50%). Administrative responsibilities include creating and managing schedules for pharmacy staff across all our Mizzou Pharmacy locations, addressing callouts, assisting with finding coverage as needed, verifying and approving timecards weekly, and communicating with staff regarding shift changes and time-off requests. As a float pharmacy technician, you will support all our pharmacy locations being the friendly face that greets patients and ensuring everyone's pharmacy experience is smooth and supportive. You will prepare and dispense medications and manage inventory while collaborating closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and other pharmacy employees. Provide on-the-job training to new personnel and assist in evaluating the progress of new employees. Receive prescriptions, complete data entry of prescription orders in the pharmacy dispensing software, and adjudicate third-party insurance claims. Prepare and label prescriptions consistent with state and federal labeling guidelines. Conduct point-of-sale transactions that require proper cash handling, offer patient counseling, and comply with all out-window procedures for patient safety. Answer telephones and handle calls that do not require the personal attention of a pharmacist. Deliver quality customer service in all interactions with patients. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.
