Job Title: Asphalt Sales Estimator

Location: Birmingham / Gadsden / Pelham

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 base (DOE) + Vehicle Allowance

Position Overview

We’re seeking a self-starter with a proven background in paving, heavy civil, or general construction. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled estimator but also a strong representative of the company—someone who thrives in a team environment while independently building relationships with contractors, developers, and residential homebuilders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for asphalt paving and sitework projects
• Identify bid opportunities and manage the bid process from start to finish
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, and homebuilders
• Collaborate with project managers and operations to ensure alignment between estimates and execution
• Attend job site walkthroughs, pre-bid meetings, and client presentations as needed
• Stay current on market pricing, industry trends, and competitor activity

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in paving, heavy civil, or general construction
• Strong understanding of asphalt estimating, takeoffs, and bid proposals
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
• Comfortable working in both the field and the office as needed
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver’s license
