Seasonal Operations Associate - Day & Weekend Shifts

Position Summary

Johnny's is currently seeking Seasonal Operations Associates for our Weekday and Weekend Shifts. This position will primarily work in the Shipping/Warehouse department but may be required to cross-train in the Seed Packing department when business needs arise. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills.

Working hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the month of December and then a schedule change to 5:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. beginning in January (Sunday working hours remain 7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

$17.00/hr

Monday through Friday

$17.00/hr

Sunday through Thursday

$19.00/hr

Friday through Monday

These positions are Seasonal and will end based off a season end date or agreed upon end date. All seasonal employees who qualify will be eligible for an "End of Season Bonus" for up to $750.00!

Position Responsibilities

Shipping and Warehouse functions may include:

You will learn to perform various tasks in the Shipping and Warehouse functions. These tasks include locating incoming material in different stockrooms, finding material using inventory systems, rearranging material, shrink-wrapping, and labeling. You may also need to assist the receiver with sampling, labeling, or receiving; support cycle counters with locating and weighing. Additionally, you should report any problems or shortages to your supervisor or Lead, support daily order shipments by gathering, checking, packing, shipping, stocking, and performing other duties as needed. You will use handheld units for accurate inventory picking and tracking and prepare inventory for the shipping department.

Seed Packing functions may include:

You may cross-train to pack seed into commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical means available. Being comfortable working in a repetitive process environment and the ability to follow processes and detailed instructions are essential. Basic computer skills are necessary. Familiarity with conversions of ounces/pounds into grams is required. Tasks also include assembling kits and products and processing bulk seed orders for commercial purposes weighing between 50-70 pounds.

You will have the desire to maintain a balanced work area by working quickly and accurately while keeping the work environment clean and safe.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read, communicate, and work with numbers.
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to climb stationary ladders.
