Our company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This exciting opportunity is perfect for the seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance who is ready to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including preparing financial statements, maintaining journal entries, ensuring compliance, and conducting special analyses. The role also involves tax preparation and the use of accounting software such as PeopleSoft and/or Workday.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Prepare and maintain journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
2. Compile, review, and prepare financial statements to ensure they are accurate and adhere to accounting standards.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
4. Maintain restricted fund report distribution lists, ensuring they are accurate and updated.
5. Conduct special analyses to provide insights into financial performance and inform decision-making.
6. Prepare tax returns and provide tax advice, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
7. Use accounting software such as PeopleSoft and Workday to manage financial data and perform accounting duties.
8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Senior Accountant, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Proven experience with journal entries, financial statements, compliance, and special analyses.
4. Experience with tax preparation and familiarity with relevant tax laws and regulations.
5. Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft and Workday.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. CPA certification is preferred.
