I'm partnering with one of my favorite clients in the Twin Cities Metro area and they are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor. This is a global organization and it's the opportunity to join as a Senior Internal Auditor, and then "rotate" into other roles within Accounting and Finance as you grow with this company. This organization also has work/life balance as a core part of their culture. The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for ensuring that financial controls are effective, that assets are safeguarded, that transactions are authorized, processed and recorded properly and in accordance with all policies. This Senior Internal Auditor should be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. While the Senior Internal Auditor will work closely with the Director and VP of Internal Audit, this Senior Auditor will be expected to independently lead and execute projects from planning to completion.

Senior Internal Auditor Required Skills

- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assigned work
- Develop an understanding of the business as well as relationships across the business
- Identify critical control issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in preparing clear and concise audit programs and reports
- Assist in tracking audit metrics
- Assist business process owners with the implementation of control enhancements
- Day-to-day execution of financial and operational audits
- No Direct reports to start - will come with growth of the department

Senior Internal Auditor Position Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting Required
• CPA a plus
• 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting and Internal Audit
• Strong financial and internal control background
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
• Team Player
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Salary: $80K - $105K Creative Financial Staffing
