**Social Media Manager **
**Role Overview:**
As a Social Media Manager, you will oversee the scheduling and posting of content created by the management and marketing teams across various social media platforms for our different newsletter handles, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Reddit. You will ensure that posts are effectively optimized with relevant hashtags and alt tags and are scheduled or published on time.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Scheduling & Posting:**
* Use social platforms’ scheduling for Meta, X, and LinkedIn to schedule content in advance.
* Manually post time-sensitive content, such as Instagram Stories, Reddit posts, Pinterest, and Threads posts, according to the predefined timeline.
* **Content Optimization:**
* Add relevant hashtags and tailored alt tags for content and images on each platform to enhance reach, engagement, and accessibility.
* **Platform Management:**
* Ensure the accuracy and consistency of postings across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit).
* Manage and oversee all company social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit).
* Ensure the content calendar is up to date and that content is posted on time as per the content sheet.
* Develop and implement strategies to increase follower count and engagement across all platforms.
* Actively engage with followers by liking, commenting, and following to foster community interaction.
* Stay up-to-date with current social media trends and best practices.
**Qualifications & Skills:**
* At least 2–3 years in social media management with a proven track record of scheduling, posting, and optimizing content.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective scheduling tools
* Experienced in using hashtags to increase reach and engagement, and writing alt tags to make content more accessible and improve SEO.
* Ability to collaborate closely with our designer, content writers, and marketing team.
* Flexible and proactive in managing multiple platforms in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of best practices for alt tags and inclusive content creation.
