Staff Engineer (Structural – Revit/BIM)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15220 | Fully On-site
Type: Full-time | Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 5 days in office
Must-Haves:
- 4-year degree in Engineering (Bachelor’s minimum)
- 6+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit (BIM), and structural analysis software
- Experience with low- to mid-rise buildings
- Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week
- Open to a daily commute of up to 1 hour
Nice-to-Haves:
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Local to Pittsburgh or open to relocation
- Background in a small- to mid-sized firm
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Lead structural analysis and design for low- to mid-rise commercial, institutional, residential, and light-industrial buildings
- Produce and model construction documents using Revit (BIM) and CAD
- Interface Revit models with engineering software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer)
- Coordinate with other disciplines and manage design/modeling changes
- Adhere to company BIM standards and development protocols
- Communicate directly with clients during all phases of design and construction
- Participate in site visits and support construction coordination as needed
Additional Role Details:
- Responsible for all aspects of structural engineering design under the guidance of a firm principal
- Follow company standards for BIM content and development procedures
- Interact with clients and contractors throughout design and construction
