Legal Intern (Real Estate & Corporate Law)

Position Summary

We are seeking at least a 2L law student with a strong interest in real estate, land use, permitting, hospitality, and corporate transactions to join our legal team. The intern will gain hands-on experience in legal research, contract review, due diligence, and corporate governance while supporting development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, including leases, development agreements, and vendor agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance issues affecting real estate development.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including entity formation, corporate filings, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Review and summarize hospitality-related agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, finance, and operations, to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare memoranda, presentations, and reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a 2L law student at an accredited law school.
  • Strong interest in real estate law, land use, permitting, contracts, and corporate governance.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with legal databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis) and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Prior experience in real estate, corporate law, land use, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with local zoning laws, permitting processes, and regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of commercial lease agreements.
  • Experience with condominium law, association governance, and structuring condominium regimes is a plus.
