We are a growing car rental business operating on the Turo platform, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented assistant to help manage our day-to-day operations and ensure an excellent experience for our customers.

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Turo Car Rental Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various aspects of our car rental operations, including customer interactions, vehicle cleaning & maintenance, and administrative tasks.

Pay: $28/hour, plus profit sharing and bonuses for 5-star ratings

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

- Greet and assist customers during vehicle check-in and check-out processes

- Photograph vehicles prior to start of rental

- Explain rental terms, vehicle features, and answer customer queries

- Respond to customer messages and inquiries through the Turo app

- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally

2. Vehicle Management:

- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after each rental

- Document vehicle condition, including photos and written reports

- Wash and vacuum vehicles

- Drive vehicles to service providers for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs

- Manage vehicle pickup and drop-off logistics

3. Administrative Tasks:

- Update rental records and maintain accurate documentation

- Request reimbursements and handle ancillary charges through the Turo app

- Assist in managing the rental calendar and coordinating bookings

- Order necessary supplies and parts for vehicle maintenance

4. Maintenance Coordination:

- Arrange for repairs when necessary

- Coordinate with service providers for cleaning, detailing, and mechanical work

5. Compliance:

- Ensure all rentals comply with Turo policies and local regulations

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Turo's terms of service and best practices

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the last 7 years
• Working smartphone with reliable data plan that can run the Turo app
• Good driving skills and ability to park a variety of vehicle sizes
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Basic mechanical knowledge of automobiles
• Proficiency with smartphones and apps, particularly the Turo app
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and some holidays
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred
• Over 21 years of age (this is an insurance requirement and a Turo requirement)
• Previous experience in car rental, automotive, or customer service industries is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, squat, and be active for extended periods
• Ability to drive (eyesight, flexibility, etc.)
• Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
