Job Title: Commercial Lines Underwriter

Location: Stamford, CT (Hybrid: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both remotely and in the Stamford, CT office. As a Commercial Lines Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial insurance policies, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and underwrite commercial insurance applications, including property, liability, and other lines of business.
  • Analyze risk factors and determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
  • Collaborate with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide underwriting support.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and underwriting guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lines underwriting.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
