About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Commercial Banking. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying a target market for new commercial and industrial (C&I) business and developing a book of new business from those relationships. This role involves leading the entire sales cycle, from sourcing new prospects to presenting and negotiating terms on a range of commercial banking products. The VP will also be involved in pre-screening loan requests, coordinating the closing and onboarding process, and ensuring compliance with the company's lending policies and procedures. Applicants for the Vice President, Commercial Banking position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years' of related experience, with a background in commercial lending, including negotiation, underwriting, and closing various types of loans. The role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of financial industry trends, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to maintain a superior knowledge of the market. The VP will be expected to engage in business development activities, represent the company in various functions, and assist in maintaining its market position. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of banking compliance regulations, financial statement and tax return analysis, and experience with deposit and treasury management products are essential.
