We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Garfield, NJ. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient fulfillment of orders, as well as receipt and storage of a wide range of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage people, processes, and systems effectively.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel (e.g., shipping clerks. pickers, packers, receiving and inventory control specialist).
• Monitor workflow, assign daily tasks, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all warehouse equipment.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA and company compliance.
• Oversee receiving and shipping processes to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
• Train, evaluate, and coach warehouse staff to promote a high-performance team.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics (e.g., pick accuracy, fulfillment speed, safety incidents).
• Collaborate with other departments (Purchasing, Customer Service, Transportation) to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for processes, space utilization, and cost reduction.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, including at least 1 year in a people supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience in a fast paced, high volume warehouse.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (Excel, email, inventory software).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Forklift certification
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

Primarily in a temperature-controlled warehouse environment with some exposure to temperature changes, noise, and movement. May require flexible scheduling, including weekends or overtime during peak seasons.
